I think perhaps you're reading what you want to read into VTknight's post... maybe, just a little?

// EDIT: just saw his post below, so confirmed I guess.

This isn't the only video out there; check out the others. There are plenty out there with the F90 taking down Huracans and 911s... and more Vettes. The numbers don't lie; the M5 with tweaked exhaust and a piggy has already cracked the 1/4 mile in 10.2 secs. With just a piggy, there are numerous cars in the 10.3s.
Agreed. I wonder how many pounds of force / drag that wing is adding. A little weird he's running it on 1/4 mile day.

But with an R compound or DR - now the RWD car is cutting 60's at a level the AWD car cannot. Also for the simple reason a RWD can heat its tires.

At the highest level RWD cars are superior to AWD cars as the record ET's prove.
How awesome is it that the F90 can be both!?!?!? One can warm the rear tires up and then use AWD to get out of the hole.

Wondering if there would be any benefit to switching into RWD mid way down the track...or if even possible to do on the fly like that. Anyone try?

You cannot switch while moving - so that is out. I did think about heating tires and then putting it back to AWD however. I haven't tested that yet though...

Which of your BMWs (no apostrophe, it's plural) did you leave at home?

I thought the mantle of 'douchebag' had finally passed to Audi owners; dang it!

// EDIT: oooh, I got a promotion to Second Lieutenant... gooooooooo me!

I have a 14 Camaro ZL1 that was the 1/4 mile toy (for sale currently). The bimmers left home would be my e36M (project car in parts) my e46M and my daily f30 335. Wife's POS X1 for sure would stay home as well!!

No sir, BMW drivers are still douchebags, I have been representing that group for the last 18+ years!! Around my way STI owners followed by AMG owners are starting to catch up!!
