I have recently ordered a CP to replace my existing non CP ex demonstrator release car.
The dealer supplying me my new F90 is buying my old one from me. This bank holiday weekend just gone was the last weekend i had the chance to take the car for one last blast before I get my new one. I literally drove the thing like it was stolen the entire weekend. My goodness she took a beating from me, but like a high class hooker she got up every single time ready for more. I had only used launch control twice before that in nearly a year of owning the car, however this weekend just gone I genuinely lost count of how many times I used it. It got to a point that the car would not let me activate it for a while, im assuming to not put excessive wear on the drive train and to let the car cool down. Once the car was cooled down though she was always ready for it again. Not once did I get a CEL or drivetrain error. Our cars are built to take a kicking. By the way, I would never treat the new car how I treated this one.................. Until that ones gets sold and I have one last hurrah in it. |

Not quite and not if you are in the drivers seat. To truly feel the force you need to have a friend that you trust that knows what they are doing and sit passenger with them while they launch it. It will certainly pin you to your seat and give you that roller coaster butterfly's in your stomach feeling. A skilled enough driver can achieve the same results without having to use LC. |

I agree with you about it being quick enough though. LC is a bit of a gimmick IMO. Like I said, a skilled enough driver can achieve the same result without having to use it. |

It's interesting to see the big disparity here. I do agree it's confusing as hell to figure out the first few times.
Back in my E92 m3 days, just mashing the gas yielded better results than LC, but the F90 has come much further. I feel like you need LC to experience the stats they publish |

yes would like to get educated on how to launch the car without lc just as fast. probably still need to hold the brake to build up boost before the launch. my problem is shifting after the launch. its hard to react fast enough sometimes before it hits the rev limiter in first gear lol

For those having difficulty AFTER the flag symbol shows, it's because you have to launch very shortly thereafter the flag appears... |

Once was enough. Then I promptly moved funds from 403b to the Michelin Fund.

- Deactivate Dynamic Stability Control - Engine sport plus - Select Transmission to S3. ( you can save this setting under M2 button ) - press down on the brake SUPER TIGHT - Press and hold down/ kickdown accelerator pedal. - A flag symbol is displayed in the instrument cluster. -Keep accelerator pedal in this position. -The starting engine speed adjusts, try to drop the brakes at about 2.5 K
