21" Tire size help needed.

Hi guys i know we got lots of thread about rim sizes and tires but is always a back and forward on the subject. So what is the perfect setup for 21" that do not affect the diameter or the closest to OEM. According to this site perfect setup will be 285/30R21 front and 295/30R21. Can anyone elaborate ????

I'm running Michelin PS4S in 275/30/ZR21 and 295/30/ZR21 with zero issues with AWD.

IIRC the 20" OEM setup is 275/285 (35) so staying within one size is very close to stock.

I did quite a bit of research on the acceptable amount of variation from the OEM specs for rolling diameters and the 275/295 was within limits (I don't recall the % variation but do a search on here as there are several threads that discuss it).

I see in your pic that you're considering a setup that has 35 profile in the front and 30 in the back but OEM keeps the profiles the same. I'm not sure that it is an issue but worth researching IMO.

Thanks bud. The pictures i posted one is for the front and one for rear. It compares the diameter from oem and the 21" size.

We recommend 275/30/21 front and 295/30/21 rear. No issues with the transfer case or TC.
You can also run 285/30/21 and 305/30/21.

If 275 and 295 work, wouldn't 285 and 295 also work fine? It looks like you're saying if you go 285 you should go 305 rear, but I haven't seen one M5 go 305, I think there's an issue with AWD.

We've done a few with 285/305, no issues. We got the correct offset for it. However, MP4S isn't available in that size so most people would prefer MP4S 295/30/21 over PZero 305/30/21. MP4S is naturally wider than PZero, so it's a washed.

Yes, you can also do 285/295. Just buy which combo the tire sizes are available in your desired brand. M5 AWD system isn't that sensitive, just saying withing 1.8% OD ratio between front and rear.

Ferrari 488 and F8 Tributo that we're doing testings on, the other hand, is extremely sensitive to tire sizes. Although it's 2WD, it has very sensitive sensors in each corner of the car.

Awesome. I've heard the 285/30 and 295/30 works very well, so I'm doing that.
