I'm not exactly sure what you need... because the factory iPod interface cable works perfectly fine.

The iPhone's iPod functions are accessed via the iDrive screen (by way of the iPod interface cable), while the iPhone's cellular functions, as well as your internal address book contacts, are accessed via the Bluetooth wireless connection.

Why do not put it in standard pouch under right arm rest (in right side driving countries)?

Exactly... secured in the pouch and connected with the factory iPod interface and the Bluetooth wireless.

I guess I just don't see what more the OP needs here. :iono:

With the Ipod interface. When you receive a text message it will pause and and make a jingle. Or when a call comes in it will stop the music and sing your ringtone. Sorry, for the poorr grammar kinda inebriated but just letting you know

I don't think that would work for me when my car arrives , I have an iPod and an iPhone , the iPod is going to be always in the car and will be in the pouch 24/7 (unless I want to put more music in it). That leaves me with no space for the iPhone

Actually, that's very good

You won't need any special place for your iPhone if you have a dedicated iPod. You can just leave your iPhone in your pocket, because it uses the wireless Bluetooth connection. And, if you have Comfort Access, you can leave your key in your pocket, too. Both, your iPhone and key stay with you conveniently as you come and go.

You could get the iPhone/smartphone intergration kit. The phone would then go in the arm rest. Read up on it a lot of good features.

After the course about wireless I took last week I want to keep "Mobile in pocket" time to a minimum to be honest lol. Plus I didn't order the CA if you haven't noticed from my sig.

proclip makes one that you mount to the right of the radio right behind where the clip on cup holder is. Also one up top where the left center AC vent is.
