Tablet Mount?

Recently bought my 18, and took it on a road trip. For now, my son is rear facing and the standard headrest type of tablet holder is fine. But what options do I have for mounting a tablet to the seat when we flip him around. Probably only have another 4 or 5 months before we need to do that.

With the trim on the back of the seats you can't raise the headrest enough to fit one in there. I don't want to drill anything in to the seat either.

You could try doing a retrofit of the oem tv type thing and putting a tablet there or just playing video straight to it if that's what ur looking for

Only sort of viable options I've found so far would be to go with a CF backing, then stick something to the gloss finish. But I really don't want to spend $1500 only to 3m sticky tape a tablet on there LOL

I can't find a retro fit kit for the factory rear entertainment system, which would also be a viable option if someone can show me where to source one?

the one I have clamps onto the posts for the head rest. might not fit on the M5 come to think of it.

my two cents.....the car models which have factory option for rear screens should be pre wired for such......what $20? of wire...then you can 'add it' later.....just think, you have a lease turn in you want to sell off your lot and you can add a rear entertainment system for pennies and charge $1200 extra if only 'pre wired.'

I've tried several different methods to add tablets, and found that clip type mounts from tesla work the best. There are a few different styles on Amazon.

Here is one:

Here is another

Basenor Tesla Model Y Model 3 Model S Model X LR/Plaid Tablet Holder, Headrest Tablet Mount Headrest Stand Cradle Accessories https://a.co/d/1vC8tsU

I went with the second one
