Just picked up a 2021 and this car is amazing

Wow. That's all I can say. Ordered this car a couple
Months ago when I realized I couldn't deal with the new m3 design. Coming from an f80 m3 comp this m5 is just on a totally other level. The technology is amazing. I feel kind of like I'm in a spaceship. I've driven some fast cars on the road and track and I have to say this car is a masterpiece. I opted for the m performance exhaust and I don't regret it one bit. It's not obnoxious and the only setting that really makes all the burbles and pops is sport plus. Keeping the car below 4500rpm and it still sound so good. I've heard folks complain about the m performance exhaust and its lack of valves but you will never notice. The exhaust button works too. It sounds and the tips also looks amazing. For me since I'm leasing it was worth to just roll it up into the payments. Anyways. Here she is.....

Agree 100% on the MPE. I think it's amazing. I like how the exhaust "button" which just controls the burbles on the MPE, is part of the M-mode memory so you can have your Sport Plus engine and throttle mapping with quieter or louder exhaust, built into the macro!

Gorgeous color combo, btw.

Congrats on the car!

What part pf Miami are you in? Would love to meet up at some point and check out the BHG in person.

My 19' M5C has about 8 months left on the lease and that is a color I was considering.

Enjoy the car in good health!

Love it. I'm planning to do the same when my F80 lease matures in April, but still on the fence about the MPE. Glad you're enjoying it!

Beautiful!! I too came from a F80 and have very similar feelings about the F90. In two words...No Comparison. The F80 serves its purpose well, and I still love them, but the M5 is now to me is the ultimate ride. I love your interior spec too, nicely done on that.

Nice build and agree on the MPE. Was my favorite option on my M5.

Same exact feeling you have. I returned my M3 competition lease early and rolled the payments into the M5, they actually paid it off completely, which was nice 13 months early. From the moment I drove off the lot, I was in love. I had a 2017 M6 before, and thought it was powerful but missed the torque feeling from my 2015 M4. The M3 gave that back to me, but this M5, gives me the torque x 10, plus insane top end power, sound, and the interior is on a whole different level. Mine also came with the M perf exhaust, and I'm obsessed, the V8 and burbles oh my. I got all the M perf CF parts, MSR intake and the car is just nasty. The intake sounds unbelievable, really.

Congrats! You have extended leather, right? Would you mind take a close up picture of the dashboard? Is it the rough type of material or the shiny leather? Thanks

I believe it is "Black Full Merino Leather with Midrand Beige". Only available with "Competition Package".

Love the car mate. With the MSR intakes, i see the filters are right at the front, behind the grilles, exposed to the elements, is there a danger of these sucking in water, in very wet conditions, or is that not possible , apologies if this sounds like a newbie question, tia

It would have to be nearly standing water, or water somehow gushing directly into the intakes as a thick stream (not rain).

The real risk is water logging the filter itself and making it either less capable at filtering, or too impermeable to air and causing a restriction. if you’re driving in a torrential downpour there are filter “socks” that help mitigate water logging.

But sucking in enough water to damage the engine? You’d have other issues way before that happened if the conditions allowed for that.

Thanks man! No, that's not a real threat. Unless I was literally driving under water in a flood, that wouldn't happen. Someone would have to be spraying water directly into my filters while I'm driving, or like the next guy said something drastic like a major flood and I'm stupid enough to drive Into it. The sound is unbelievable. I can post videos.
