The Cannonball has been going on for nearly 50 years, yet to hear that story or hear about the "Bad rap" among the general population. They literally made movies on it.

Every single person on this forum of car enthusiasts is just as likely to earn a bad wrap by not signaling, driving too fast, and having exhaust's too loud.

All it takes is one last second unintended lane change by a non-participant driver and the best pro driver in world won't be able to do shit.

Keep in mind we're talking about US driving lane discipline; not the German Autobahn.

These runs are awesome but insanely reckless. One crash could ruin a person's life forever. This is just a race for bragging rights. If you want to have fun at these speeds do it on a track or an empty road at the crack of dawn for two seconds!

Stupid. It's one thing to risk your own life on an open road, it's another blowing by cars at twice the speed limit.

It just take some mom in a van with three kids to change lanes in front of a dumbass doing 150 and it's over for all of them.
