Recommended drop and best springs? Could?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
What do you guys think for the F90? I don't like my gap, and I'm not sure if I'm getting new wheels or not yet, but let's say I keep my 706m 20" wheels, would you go with H&R and spacers? Or get new custom wheels with the right fitment, 21 inch? No spacers and M perf springs? I don't want to spend 3k on this, just a simple drop for looks, BUT I REALLY do not want to lose handling or have a worse ride and feel. I love how the car handles.

Fitment suggestions? I've heard drop 1 inch front and 1.1 in rear, but not sure the best set up for ET front and rear wheels? Tires? Thanks!

I'll say keep your wheels and buy a set of KW.
The kw are more confortable then the oem setup

I've read a lot of reviews from M5 owner that say they regret their KWs and the ride was way too stiff, and the drop wasn't good.

What about just regular springs so you keep your factory adjustable ride modes, etc?

H&R 550 springs all day.

I had KW HAS prior to this and was not happy with the kit .. ride was harsh, never was able to achieve the drop I was looking for and they were noisy over bumps.

H&R has a very nice OEM feel in terms of ride quality, are cheaper and achieve a very nice ride height.

I really like the ride quality of the 21 M5Comp so I opted to pickup the BMW adjustable coil-over springs that will allow the M5 to be lowered by 3/4". I'm just waiting for them to come in.

Does anyone have pics of the BMW adjustable spring on the car? Curious to see what it looks like.

I'm very curious also. But VERY few people got them, and I haven't seen any of them post any detailed reviews on how they are

Second the H & R M550's. Perfect stance, ride not too rough.

H & R M550 springs
Spacers: 13mm front / 10mm rear
Tires: Michelin PS4S 295/30/20 rear + 285/30/20 front

Would you mind sharing some pictures of this? I’ve been though the thread spacers/drop so many times I’ve lost track. No pun intended.

Everyone says to get 285 and 295, why not 185 and 305? Or 275 295? Isn't that going to rub on fronts ?

Also, if I go with 21 inch wheels, with that set up (H&R) with a 1.2 inch drop, would it be too aggressive?

I think that depends on you. I went with the BMW adjustable coil overs because I only wanted to drop about 1/2” or so. I think they max out at 3/4” drop.
