Supply chain issues probably will be short-term, and they have the prioritized parts. MY22 has already started and could be a short MY.

MB sells a ton of V8s in North America so it makes sense the S-Class keeps it, but it's a significant loss on the SUV front... No G-Class for a year?

Seems like the supply chain issue is getting worse or their stockpile of parts are going to be depleted. Over here in Asia, if I were to book the GLE450, a non V8, as of today, delivery is estimated in Mar/Apr 2022.

A 7 to 8 months wait. That's pretty darn long.

Right now no 2022 g wags until further notice. I was trying to buy one when the news broke. Prices went craaaazy. 60-150k over msrp to pick up a new one right now

One of the current "theories" on MB World as to why there is a suspension of V8's. Honestly this does sound like the most likely to be true.
