Boiling over?

What's causing this? Both sides. Great place to put coolant reservoirs…

Could be overfilled.

not overfilled they have hoses that drain to the gound. someone could have spilled some when filling and the heat from the motor just crusted it over time. I always wipe after i fill, and elsewhere. Always good to wipe!

Overfilled. Main reservoir has molded channel to the left of the arrows looking at picture. Intercooler reservoir doesn’t have channel. Just vents from top of cap.

Plus the intercooler reservoir could not boil over since it’s coolant does not get that hot.

I haven't filled them but I did ask dealer to check them last time and was told they're fine.
