Thanks for the important information in this thread. I live in LA and own a 2022 M5 Comp and if any M5 CS owners near me want to go to a local dyno shop please let me know.

I have a CS, my brother has a bone stock ‘22 comp.
We have run just about every straight line variation possible, and I have never lost. |

From a dig the CS gets out with a decent gap. From a 60mph roll it’s very competitive. Both cars are badass. A tuned M5 comp would easily beat the CS.

Thanks Doc. I would have thought the reverse since they have the same torque and that is what launches you out the hole. Maybe it is the lighter weight of the CS. Like you said, both cars are great.

19 Comp. At the risk of causing forum drama (jk ) I felt I was pulling away. I felt like if we had more road to work with I would have pulled away decent amount by the end. At least a few car lengths. These were mainly 40-60MPH pulls however. Didn't get a chance to go from a dig. Lets put it this way, I figured with race chip I would be close, but I didn't expect the results that happened. But again, I dont think we were really able to get much past 100-120mph before we ran out of room. It was certainly fun however ! |

The internet hype on the CS has created unrealistic expectations of what the car actually is.
It’s still an F90 M5. In stock form, it beats other stock M5s, whether comp, non comp, pre LCI, or LCI. Any mods on either side can easily tip the scales though. Owners of both cars just need to sit down and have a drink together. Jesus. |

Read literally every single other post in this thread to understand the context of that statement.
