Floor Mats?

OK, I know this is stupid but... What kind of floor mats do you have and what would you recommend?

I would like to have something with more protection against the elements than the M Performance mats but I hate the look of the WeatherTech stuff.

Does anyone have the 3D Maxpider mats?

I had a set of those 3D maxspider mats in my S6; the poly, carpet looking ones right?

They were an excellent alternative as winter mats, in the summer I want something softer/plusher

Tbh, I haven't given mats much consideration yet

If you're looking for carpeted mats, I have Lloyd mats. They have held up pretty well so far. I actually might get another set so I have one for winter and one for summer. I realize many want non-upholstered mats but I am very happy with these.

I went with Weather Tech - they have excellent fit and are durable for winter.

Addendum: doohh - just noticed the OP’s comment about not liking the Weather Tech mats.

Take a look at Tuxmat. Very extensive coverage in cockpit as well as a large one piece in the back that straddles the middle

Well, I like my WeatherTech floor liners (and Trunk liner). They work perfectly for me and are very easy to keep clean.

I don't live where it snows so I don't get the benefit of plastic mats. My son's Wrangler came with some and they are horrible. Traps the dirt on the surface and makes scratching sounds with your shoes. At least with carpeted mats, the dirt travels down. Anyway, mats are disposable. Nothing like buying new carpeted mats when the old ones wear, it really spiffs up the interior and even a hint of new car smell.

I have those too and they are really great.

I just think that they have too many grooves , you literally need a brush to get them clean.

OK... So you might have me convinced with the WeatherTech. But how did you get the M badging?

Looks great!

I really like the truck liner ... where did you purchase it and for how much?

Just get the BMW OEM 5 series. Work great. Look great. Why go aftermarket? Never made any sense to me

I ordered a set of 2 Badges from someone on eBay - not sure if that person has anymore; just search for the item I think each set was $15. They wouldn’t stay stuck to the liners and I had to use Gorilla glue to secure them. The creator specially designed them to be a direct replacement for the WeatherTech liners.

The round item at top is a cup coaster that I placed in each cup holders (2 - for the front doors and 2 - for the center console. I ordered the coasters from Amazon.

I ordered the Trunk liner directly from WeatherTech.

https://www.weathertech.com/bmw/2018...e-tire-f90/no/

The site is seeking the liner for $109.95 - which if I recall sounds about right.

I did that also... Weathertech, then I got M logos to replace the Weathertech logo. Works great. Same size, same shape, same format. The old logo peels right out and the new one goes in its place. Takes about 12 seconds and costs about 6 bucks if I remember right. I think I found them on Ebay. I don't remember exactly, but just do a Google search or search on ebay.

I bought the same badges on eBay, about 3 weeks ago, from a seller called "ninety6". It looks like her has sold them all, but it may be worth a try sending him a message to see if he can still get them.

Weathertech ones are the best.....OEM rubber ones look odd in a M5, they were made for the G30.

Yes, "ninety6" sounds right. And, usually only has a few sets available (2 per set) then he runs out.

And what does it change that they were made for the G30 ?

The base is the same , so the fitment is perfect.
