For Canadian m5 comp drivers, is 6% off msrp a good deal?
I am asking this for a friend of mine and he knows nothing about purchasing cars. But as a die-hard bimmer fan, he ONLY wants the m5 comp.
So we went to a dealer (bmw autohaus) and the sales said 5% off. Another dealer said 6% off and he said that for 2020 m5 comp they can only earn 7% off MSRP per car, so they are giving their best. Is this true tho? |

He can do better, shop around, easily another percent - more if lucky and dealer wants to make numbers near month end - also just glancing at the invoice I am not seeing a 5% discount as that should a over a -6750 adjustment unless I am missing something. You can also easily save another thousand on the nickel and dime crap they also push - the “tricor” security scam, the nitrogen, the prep and detail, finishes, etc. Check out the bmw Club of Canada and see if they still have the 2k rebate for members. I know I did! But at the end of the day just enjoy it - great car.
