I've had nothing but trouble with my M5C since 1200 service. Noisy engine. First fix new alternator, original out of balance. Didn't improve. Next fix new engine mounts, slightly better but still not right they also damaged my wheel while with them. Gone back for third attempt for engine noise, but also developed a problem on steering rack. I've had about 60 miles use in last two months. So shit experience so far for a £100k car....

Well the Audi didn't last long...2 months...could not gel with it no matter how I tried...inferior tech...cant even get HUD in UK, have to plug the phone in to get apple car play, ride wise was to go-cartish for me personally, also seemed everyone wanted to race ya, even with wife and kids in the car boy racers tailgating was really starting to annoy

Anyway it had to go so took the hit and ridded it in October, bought a used X5M50D to use while on the look out for a M5 Comp in black. Must haves were Premium, Comfort and active cruise, very few and far between until this beauty came up a few weeks ago , had C/F blades, corners, Pro spoiler and diffuser fitted before collection

Nearly 300 miles in and it is faultless, love it, have to say as well having owned a base model I do prefer the Comp, ride comfort is fine and it just feels more planted,

Expensive mistake but having the Audi showed me what a truly amazing car the M5 actually is

Well, that didn't take long .

I think 'planted' is the right way to summarize the difference--I see the same sentiment from a lot of folks that have driven both.

Wrt/ the tech: that, combined with VW/Audi's prehistoric leasing policies, are what's preventing me from charging straight into a new RS7 (when they're finally released).
