2020 m5 competition sitting at port of Baltimore since 1/7/20.
Dealer is less than 10 miles away WTF?
A carrier has been assigned for several days now, but they are significantly delayed in picking up the vehicle.
Anyone else have a similar delay now or in the past?

There are lots of possible reasons for delays at US-side port.

There could be customs issues, they might have damaged the car and are repainting it, etc...

My car arrived at the port in Germany today. Hopefully not much longer. I'll be in Big Sky for a ski trip from Feb 1-8, so I am hoping maybe I'll be taking delivery shortly after my trip.

Sales associate called the port but could not get a call back. If the car was damaged, he said he would have been notified.
Car has been released to carrier but have no clue when they will pick it up. Original delivery date was almost 2 weeks ago.
He said he has done all that he can do but told me to reach out to customer service to see if they can light a fire under their butts.

Called 8009320831 and left a message this evening. Hopefully, I get some realistic info tomorrow.

5 to 6 weeks for me. Dealer is only 10 miles from port. I had some port installed accessories that only took them 1 day to install after looking at the work order history. Car sat at the port for a week before they even touched it. It then sat for another 7 days after being released to the carrier before finally being delivered today.

So I'm still "In Transit."

Anyone know how to lookup which boat a car is loaded on? I've tracked a car on a boat a few years back but someone looked up which one it was riding.

There is a pinned post with all the info you'll need. BMW Genius is always a safe place to start.

My car is due in Brunswick port on 2/18. I'm hoping I'll pick up end of month or early March.

Sitting at the port in Germany since 1/29. Seems like a long wait for a ship.

Finally, “in transit”. It took 12 business days to board a ship. By far the longest I’ve experienced with 6 BMW’s and 2 Porsche’s.

Earliest appointment available at the Performance Center is 3/13.

Per the other thread on order tracking, I called the Genius two days ago and they said it was still waiting. In the past BMW's website production tracker was worthless. I think the Genius person just pulled up the tracker.
