Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I live in Etobicoke and look forward to participating in any local meet ups.

I do have a question for you all - I'm in the process of purchasing or leasing a new base M5. I've been to several dealerships, have driven the car, and am pretty set on what I want. I'm likely to factory order just given the spec and color etc.

Any advice as I make offers? What % discount is reasonable in the GTA given it's a factory order? I've got some flexibility on timing - is there a better month approaching anytime soon to secure a good deal?

This is a big purchase for me and I just want to make sure I get a decent deal in the end. I'd really appreciate any guidance you can share. Thank you!

Small world, I am in etobicoke as well.
I have used Sean Sheibani at Bmw Autohaus for my past
4 M cars and he has always hooked me up with lowest price.
I got 3% on first Edition pre order and if not mistaken first guy
In Canada recieving his car. So he is good.
If you have or had a bmw in the past year you will get loyalty
Discount as well on top.

Good luck

Thanks shahin. That's a very helpful data point. Congrats on the car. One would expect there to be more pricing room now given we are one year out.

Cheers.

Thanks Brother
Definitely you have more room for negotiations
If I can give you one advice
UF you are a driving enthusiast, definitely get the competition package.
I wish Bmw would release both cars at the same time.
I would have gotten the CP

It's worth it only if you not planning to go aftermarket. IMO the hp gains are too negligible and the wheels are disappointing.

Thanks guys. It's an interesting question and my current thought is to go base and then do aftermarket wheels as I'm really not a huge fan of any M5 wheels. Will probably do this after rotating through winters next year.

This is my first time buying a car with anywhere close to this much power so I'm not thinking I need any extra horses or a stiffer suspension (esp on public Toronto roads), but I might feel differently after 6 months...

Just found this now...picked up the car mid August and its the best all rounder I have known. Winter is going well too so far...Looks like I will be the first to post a pic...I'm in Toronto. I'm sure most of you are on BMWTN on FB.

I will both agree and disagree on the CP versus standard car argument...

I feel no difference with the ride between the two and only feel the benefits of the extra power and sportier ride options (and ride height). I have trapped 129.5 MPH in the 1/4 - which I believe is a record for a stock F90. Lowest traps are 126.7 - to 127.5 in very hot temps. So my point is you are getting the F90 - stock - performing just that much better on average. I really like the wheels...that part being subjective and said - if you are going to mod - then you can just tune the car and get more than the CP - which I am not doing - so I agree that it depends if you are going to mod or not.
