Ordered a ‘23 F90 as my last car before the great ICE ban/confiscation commences.

Individual color (Atlantis). Fully loaded, with all options. CCB, B+W, MPE, etcetera.

Dealer pushed the order through without the premium stereo (which I have and enjoy in my ‘19 F90). Telling me nothing they can do, too bad.

Not too keen on taking home a +130k car with a Hyundai spec audio system. What are my options? Can I tell them to just get rid of it?

When I ordered my F90 they sent me a document with all options listed. I had to sign it and return it. Did you have to sign or acknowledge the order in some way? Did you leave a deposit? If not tell them you do not want it. Reorder from them or another dealership.

How far in production status are you? I was able to get my CA to add B&W right when they came back with 23' configurator. I hope it isn't too late for you ��

Just tell them to get you what you ordered or walk, and order somewhere else

Once you hit status 150 and a VIN is generated you are pretty locked in. Otherwise, it depends on what you have signed for up until this point if you can get a deposit back.

Whenever doing custom builds, I've always had to sign off on the list of options being requested.

Again, for this price range the option on the stereo should be "do you want the stereo on or do you want the stereo off." All of them should have the better stereo.

Lol. Never found the stereo to be significantly better with the upgrade anyway. The lights are nice, however. Would i bail on a car for not having it? No. Exterior color and CCB are more important

If you decide to keep it, you can always go the BavSound route. Worked great for me!

All about personal preference. I almost commented that'd it would be ridiculous to want to cancel over the audio stuff but then realized it's really not if it's important to you. I think it'd suck to pay so much for a car and not get exactly what you ordered. It's def not a deal breaker for me though.

With regards to backing out — I don't know what was signed or agreed to. For my M550i I didn't even put a deposit down when I ordered it (90k MSRP) but it wasn't an individual color and was a desirable spec. I doubt they'd care much if you walk away because they can probably sell it pretty easily but if they can keep a few grand in the process from you they might

Who pushes an order through without double checking it? They should have had you sign something with the options. Out of principle I'd tell them you want a discount or you are walking.

I agree with this. BavAudio makes plug/play replacements for BMW's and I have had good luck in the past with their products. You can order directly from them and then have your local installer put it it. They include very good instructions also. You might even end up with a better sounding system!

P.S. - I ordered the same color as you! Mine will be in by the end of the year. Looking forward to seeing your pictures!

Self install is also incredibly easy! You will definitely end up with much better than the stock HK set up — especially the woofers!

Stereo quality is pretty important to me. I thoroughly enjoy listening to the B&W stereo in my car. I would be inclined to bail.

I have the Bowers system and I still upgraded the subwoofer to 12s for my bass needs. My beat sounds goooood. I would just keep the order and upgrade the stereo at a great stereo shop.

I don't get why you would keep it. Especially if it hasn't started yet. Not like you're all that far behind or have been waiting for weeks or months.

Now if it showed up wrong after months of waiting that would be another story.

Do yourself a favor and take a deep breath. You are getting an awesome vehicle at the end of an era. Also do a search on room acoustics. A car is one of the toughest environments for audio. You could put a system 3x the price in there and it will only marginally improve. Same thing for home audio. The room matters just as much as the gear.

Being frustrated that they didn't order what you requested? That I agree. Thinking that the sound system is going to make or break your F90…that I'd give some thought on…
