Keller Race Cats or Vibrant Performance Resonators ...

Hi,

Did anyone try the Keller Race Cats with lower downpipes and an aftermarket exhaust?

I have their full upper and lower downpipes with a full Akrapovic system and it's a bit too loud for my liking. It's popping and banging with the valves closed

Am hoping someone has a similar setup but with the Keller Race Cats so they can give me their opinion.

Another option is to weld in some Vibrant Performance Titanium Resonators into the Akrapovic midpipes!

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Keller mispipes and downpipes!

I have Keller midpipes and downpipes on my M5C with the stock comp exahust

It sounds absolutely amazing.. the perfect sound for the M5C IMO. I am not going to do anything further to the exhaust. It is very loud and anything more would just be obnoxious and over the top.

The other thing that these pipes add is the new sound of the turbos.. they have a sublime loud whistle to them now... music to my ears!

I was at the BMW dealership today and Everyone was in awe at the sound!

The Keller pipes fit perfect on the M5Comp.
Highly recommend!

I will post some videos soon

I have eisenmann race (loudest one) with Keller lower downpipes and m midpipe and I think it's the perfect on loudness. When it's wot, it gets loud and down shifting you get your burbles but as soon as you turn off valves, the ecu takes away the burbles and it's quite again, nothing like stock quiet but you could drive by a cop and he wouldn't even look at you or hear you lol cold start is loud for a while and then it calms down after 10-15 seconds . I'm even thinking about putting on upper Keller's on but too Afraid of it being too loud especially cause i live in California

You will get a CEL if you do the full keller downpipe and keller midpipe setup.

You will also notice a slight exhaust smell.
Its not bad, but it is present and noticeable

Sell the exhaust and keep the Downpipes (adds better performance, exhaust tone) and you can quiet it down by modes or exhaust valve open/close operation

Sorted the cold start. Akra has its own valves, which uses OEM electronics, so works like stock. Happy with it as is now.

Ready for those videos to hear that setup as I am considering same.

Questions: Did you get a CEL after installation?

Also do you know if the dealers void your warranty for this (obviously a individual dealership question but how has yours reacted)?

thanks.

I have the OPF filter on mine (UK car), hence my Akra came with some additional wiring kit, which is supposed to rid the CEL, but unfortunately, we still got the light, hence had to do the remap.

I spoke to Akra UK extensively before purchasing and they just basically said, any issues with warranty, give us a call and we'll sort it with BMW on your behalf. BMW / Akra still work very closely together.
