Doesnt really seem like they know whats going on. They have a product, which is the easiest part of the puzzle; Better turbos. But nothing else. No clear path of how to optimize them within the car.

Too early to buy turbo upgrades. If it wasnt too early, trust me I would have had them a month ago.

Your just gonna end up being someones guinea pig. Ya they'll figure it out, after taking a bunch of risks with your car, and even then will it make power....? Sure it will... Will it be fully optimized.. no.

there's always a tuner that can tackle this. at the end of the day, we're just talking bigger turbos- its not rocket science. the science is in the tuning.
the DME pure turbos car seems to still be on the streets, so all is well so far, i assume.

but i do agree that theres no reason to be a guinea pig unless a shop like DME is going to sponsor.
there's a reason why these tuners who already tune/have f90's aren't pushing the envelope yet. I think this will all change was BM3 releases (if ever) their flash for the platform. then you'll have guys like carey on the f80 platforms dialing in all sorts of custom tuning for turbos, fuel, e85, etc.

sooo, who's going to take the leap on this...?

Why isn't it impressive?

really, why do you even care about whp?

to me 60-130 is what really tells you real world performance.

with pure turbos and meth( and then some) my cls making over 765 awhp and 850 awtq was still only able to manage a 7.0 60-130.

which to me was a let down.

Fair enough.

No argument here on the nature of truly useful performance metrics but the two aren't mutually exclusive.

The black car spoken about earlier was built by us here at ACM. It is indeed a customers car, not a forum guy, an older gentleman. He asked we do not push the car to its limit as he daily drives the car. He wants to do meth this winter to see where we fall. Maybe he would like to do a numbers run, maybe he wont. Point is not every car that's modded needs to be maxed out. He is VERY happy with the way the car drives, beats the hell out of it and enjoys it every day without a hiccup.

My car actually dropped power after the Pure turbo install. Something must be amiss with the car controlling the power output.

Ive made some attempts to get the factory turbos back unsuccessfully . Not as much fun as anticipated unfortunately.

Someone wake me when a tuner has this one figured out.

In the meantime.... I bought a 911 Turbo S and have been beating it regularly at the track. I did a EVO 770 kit to it and with 104 octane and Michelin Cup 2's, is a bad mofo. So keep that in mind as a possible solution.

Charles @ Pure has been non responsive about getting my factory turbos back despite several attempts. Not as much fun as anticipated unfortunately.

Yes but Ill refrain from throwing the programmer under the bus.

Upgrading to the '20 Competition model tomorrow actually, though I will tell you that having a turbo s 911 at the low cost of $207k helped solve my problem. More people need to know about that car.

Truth told, I was looking for more than the car could provide. So I added another horse to my stable.

So guys, the pure turbos have been giving issues I definitely recommending staying with factory turbos will get a lot more power from them.
