Winter Tires/Wheels - BMW OEM or After Market?

So got a quote for the BMW OEM set up:

705M Style Wheels 19x9.5 F / 19x10.5 R
Michelin Aplin 5 Tires 265/40/19 102V F / 285/40/19 107 V
OEM Tire Pressure Sensors
OEM Center Cap

$3,664 - plus sales tax.

Seems a bit steep - but would welcome other M5 drivers insight into this.

TR isn't posting anything yet, but they do have a set up for my wife's '17 430i that's about $1,700 vs $2,300 OEM quote from the dealer which leads me to believe TR will always be cheaper?

surprised that it was not reasonable from a dealer.

that being said, there is something to be said for OEM 19s vs "as fragile as donald trumps ego" Rials

In a similar situation. I actually have the winter tires from my F10. Just looking for a good set of 19" wheels. Been keeping an eye on TR, but still nothing listed.

If anyone has an OE set of 19s they want to sell I am interested.
Thanks

Check getbmwparts.com. I ordered from them and got $3,620 all in shipped to my door. I personally like the convenience of OEM wheels with the tires already mounted and balanced.

I must be searching wrong because that seems like a really low price. The wheels alone from ECS Tuning without tires are ~$3200. Do you have part numbers included in your quote that you can share?

I don't unfortunately. I just cut and pasted from my service reps email to me. Call your dealer directly maybe?

Yes, but unfortunately BMW cannot fulfill any orders at this time. They have not received the tires from Michelin yet. It's been a huge disaster of a launch for BMW. I place an order a few weeks ago, but apparently the front tires won't be available for another 2 to 3 weeks and the rears for the staggered set won't be available until December.

Wow...You tried ordering from Getbmwparts and they're all in the same predicament?

Yes, I've been going back and forth with one of the two principals about what the other options are. Really frustrating. Temps in northern NJ this morning were low 40s. It's going to get dangerous real quick to keep driving these cars on the summer tires.

Why the Sottozero Series 3's over the asymmetrical Series 2 ?

I received my OEM Winter Set from BMW Center in 2 weeks!

I ordered the square setup, 705M in Ferric Grey on Sept 22, and had them installed, ready for Winter, on October 19. They came with Michelin PA5's.

I have a quote with 19" wheels, 8.5 width in the front and 10 in the rear. Is the 8.5 too narrow?

Just heard from my dealer that the 705m orbit grey winter oem wheel set is back in stock in Germany and they are shipping out orders daily. Still waiting for mine to arrive and there has been plenty of snow in Nebraska. I'll post when they officially arrive.

So my wheel/tire combo arrived today and should be installed in the next couple of days. Excited to see how this setup compares to the Sottozeros everyone seems to be falling back on.
