Yep, lets conservatively say we pull 10 lbs a corner- thats 40 total lbs in unsprung weight or like pulling a 160 lb person from your car. Thats meaningful.

My car is ‘19 comp. pack that came with 20 inch 789M wheels and PS4S tires. I’m looking to get a separate set of wheels for track days and it seems 705m 19 inch wheels are the best option currently. I know they are not forged, but since they are smaller - weight is comparable to a 20 inch forged wheel. Also there are plenty of tire choices in 19 inch size including r-compound R888R’s in our 275/285 size. Just sharing my conclusion here, in case anyone else is looking for options.

I weighed my stock 706s at 35.6lbs rear and 34.6 front so those weights definitely check.

For anyone looking to lighten their wheels without breaking the bank check out the MRR forged series. I went with the MRR NES SS1.1. About a 3rd of the cost of the most expensive options. Quality has been great so far and no issues with the balance weights needed, used about the same amount as stock. I did stock widths and custom offsets (pushed them out 7mm up front and 4mm in the rear). MRR wheel weights ended up being 25.6 rear and 24.2lbs front using the same scale. I'll post pics in a month after my xpel and ceramic coat are done. I've driven on them for 6 weeks and I'm very happy with my decision so far. Not as extreme a weight savings as you get on the most expensive brands but lighter than the BMW comp wheels so I think it's a win.
What is the ride difference? What do the lighter wheels do for performance and ride?
