800 miles and already being called in for service?
So I get a call today from the dealer I bought the car from saying that it is already saying it needs some service work done. The only thing I've noticed about the car is that once warm if I toggle to check the oil level it takes awhile to load, a little clock like icon appears, but then my oil level appears fine once loaded. Any clue as to what else could be going on with only 800 miles?

Is it normal for them to call you when service is required? I'm at 1199 right now and never got a call about service....
Its all good though....I called them and will be going in on Friday. |

Yeah but when I start the car it says service required is it just giving me a warning that in 400 miles I need to take it in?

That said, if your car has not yet alerted you that service is needed - and it might not have, some take longer than 1200mi, depending on how you've driven it (mine did) - then the dealership won't know either. No, its telling you that it is ready for service now. 1200mi is a rough estimate. Some cars take more, some less. It all depends on how the car has been driven during break-in. |
