Paint rotor hats?
I guess that’s what they are called? Since I just changed to new wheels with a much smaller hub center it really shows up like a sore thumb a bit in my opinion. Anyone black them out with maybe a brush on caliper paint?

How big are those wheels?!?
My rotors completely fill my 19" so those must be 22s or larger. Holy Cow.

While you would think it won’t matter, the layer of paint could result in vibration. I occasionally read about people who powdercoat the back side of their wheels where they meet the rotor hat, and experience vibration. Just a possibility, not a certainty. If you do it and there is vibration, you can always remove the paint.

Painted with G2 caliper brush on. Couldn’t be happier! Not everyone will agree with the look, but I personally think it looks SO much better now without that large bare metal rotor hat as a background to the small wheel hub.

Ya it’s def a concern. My powder coder didn’t tape off the back of my 789s and I was concerned but didn’t want to wait and figured if it vibrated I would sand them with my grinder. 8 months in and zero issues.
