Snapping off tabs when replacing parts
Am I the only one the seems to snap off a plastic tab when removing OEM parts so I can upgrade it to carbon fiber parts?
I try to go slow and be careful too. |

You are not alone. I just changed the side vents on my X5 and I think I lost about 50% of the tabs. I was able to fish them out, but it was a pain in the ass.

Never have I ever. . . removed a part on this car or any vehicle for that matter without breaking tabs. Every YT video I watch makes it all look SO easy, but it never is for my clumsy dumbass

Also, I learn in trying to use a heat gun on certain areas to warm up the plastic, most of the ones I broke are during cold weather when the plastic is a lot more brittle.
