Locating Car with Key Fob

Dumb question here since Google/Forum search didn't reveal anything conclusive. What do you guys do to get your car to respond in a parking lot?

Tapping Lock while the car is already locked doesn't create any response. Tapping Unlock does make the beeping sound but this isn't a safe option.
Do we just remote start every time??

and the BMW app is next to useless since it is incredibly slow to load.

Holding the trunk release button for about 3 ish seconds triggers the alarm. Agreed that BMW app isn’t ideal as the request has to hit their servers then your car which can take a little bit unless you premtively trigger it to give it time.

To locate the car I always remote start. I have the valves open and love hearing the V8 cold start.

In Europe we do not have remote start, however, the button located at the bottom of the key allows you to turn on the front headlights and rear lights in order to easily locate our vehicle parked in the middle of a parking lot.

I guess this doesn't help you, however maybe you can code it.

Just... remember where you parked? Or have your phone remember if you can't? Or the alarm?

If your iPhone is paired with your car, just ask Siri. "Where did I park?" The location will come up on Apple Maps.

Or drop a pin on Google Maps where you park.
