Has your M car received a recent software update (ex: fuel vent software update) and you've noticed any of the following
  • Muted exhaust note
  • Reduction or elimination of overrun (burbles)
  • Loss of low end torque
  • Harsh downshifts
  • Reduced shift performance
  • iDrive issues or elimination of features
  • Electronic suspension changes

These software updates change the entire way your vehicle will drive and preform, they do not provide release notes and they are unwilling to change the vehicle back to the way it was when you purchased it. This is a clear bait and switch, we will get BMW to return our cars to the way they were when we purchased them or they will pay in a class action lawsuit. We need your help, BMW cant keep doing this to its M car community.

We have 2 internal employees of BMW who have confirmed and provided details that in fact these updates change nearly all of the vehicles driving characteristics.

I also encourage many of you to call or email BMW about this issue (direct contact details below). The squeaky wheel get the grease, 500+ squeaky wheels will get their attention a lot faster.

The abovementioned changes are due to EU regulations for sound and emissions. You'll have a hard time suing them for following the law.

Not directly, but I bet if you emailed the contact I provided they can connect you with the right person.

I just did mine and noticed no difference at all, maybe it was just in EU?

I have a 2019 Comp, I just had service completed and this was not installed in my car. Is this only for 2020 and newer M5's?
