New car stink?

So I've had mine 2021 M5 for two weeks now. Whenever I pull the car into the garage the fans are running very heavily, even with lower temperatures outside. But I think this is normal, they're just running a lot more than they did in my F 80 M3. The problem I have is that the car stinks like crazy and somethings burning off, which I assume is transportation wax or some thing. I never had that problem with my previous two cars and it's actually getting worse. It's to the point where you can't be in the garage for more than a couple minutes without getting nauseous. Do other people with new M5s have to same problem? Just wondering.

Did you run over a plastic bag, and possibly stuck to exhaust pipe ?

Yeah stinks. It's the plastics and the glues getting burnt off. Totally normal.

I just crawled under the car and didn't see anything.

Ok. I guess it is normal then. I have had many new bmws and not a single one had this strong nauseating smell. Not even close.

If it's burning smell, I second what the others are saying. It's normal. I recently test drove a M850 CG and I noticed the smell filtering into the cabin and especially after I parked it when outside. It's part of the brand new smell along with the leather lol.

My wifes 19 X5 had a terrible smell for the first few thousand miles. Would only notice it coming through the vents when the car was stopped (traffic light) or parked and still running.

She didn't notice as much as I did. By the time the first service came around it was long gone.

I honestly forgot about it until reading this thread.

The fan running is OK. I did not notice any exterior smell on two F90s I had. What I did smell was the leather interior, which was bad on the 2018 and better on the 2019.

It is definitely a melting/burning smell. This car get so incredibly hot compared to my previous 3 M3s. Even the floor of the trunk is hot and the luggage in there gets warm....
