JB4 + BOOTMOD from 131 to 138 miles in 7 days

September 30th, Johnny m5_blackmonster contacted us and we started working with his installed parts.
F90 M5 Full Weight DP & Intakes Proyect Gamma and BM3 ots flash.

After reviewing and making various adjustments to the newly installed JB4, we dial in everything to eliminate throttle clousures and adjustment to fuel mixture, we continue to use his BM3 and JB4 above.
No WMI, No super expensive gasoline ... E85 and 93 octane mix for daily use, went from its best record of 10.53@131.6mph to 10.39@138.1mph
We know that with that speed we can do 10.0 to 1/4 so we continue with the advice.
Vamos con todo !

Over on N54tech guys with just JB4 are running better times with just race fuel ... I ran a map3 at the last 1/8th mile... horrible DA and mid 80 degree temps and was trapping 106.01 @ 6.89 with a 1.73 60ft. Nothing other than JB4 Map3 and E25 fuel ..

yes, I know that with VP MS 109 you could run better e.t. but how about with E30 for everyday use ???
Only 7 days ... stay tuned, better times are coming....

7.57s on E30 OTS is almost impossible lol those are STG1 93 times
Something definitely off there, maybe extra passenger, full tank and thought he was on E30 map?

Almost looks like the times we were seeing with JB4 only and then BM3 OTS only lol. I wouldn't doubt it, if he was on shitty E85 and then got a good batch of good E85 fuel on the next tank.

Wait so E30 OTS and E30 OTS + JB4 yielded same times even with the difference in 60-130 you posted above?

Is very simple read first post.
E30 OTS several times at track best e.t. 10.53@131
After a week using OTS + JB4, some logs using same E30 fuel improve to 10.39@138mph
same car, same driver, same tires, same weight, etc.

Gotcha. My apologies. Can you post your JB4 settings you used?

I can do it but the settings are not transferable from one car to another, there are too many variables involved.

I understand. But if you could post them it would help others get their settings dialed in at least knowing roughly where you were at.

While I agree not every car will respond the same, they should be in the same ballpark.

The healthiest thing is not to try that way. There is no advantage in trying to use variables from other cars in yours.

Congrats. I'm still in break-in on my 2020 M8 but will tune through the BM3 with a custom tuner pretty soon. What advantages do you get with the stacked JB4? And as you know there have been a few blown motors on the 4.4TT platform already using E blends. How do you know how much is too much?

JB4 is great tool.
Not need to be flashing everytime you change your fuel type.
Exccellent for logging in your mobile.
+ All safety features and if you plan to ad meth JB4 has the best integrated WMI firmware.

You don’t , a lot of these modded M5s running more than 3psi over stock are already bending rods and don’t even know it. It then becomes a question of time, the closer they get to that 140mph trap the more likely it will occur.....

Biggest advantage to adding a JB4 to a flash map is being able to adjust tuning on the fly and the extra safety systems provided. In a lot of cases though, customers find the JB4 alone adds so much performance they don't even need the flash tuning so something to keep in mind too.
