Great work by the way, I'm looking forward to the next vmax video
Agree. I was looking for more
I'll third that.

This is where our friends in the US RK Autowerks come in, having been building the S63 engine in the F10/F90 M5 for a few years, and then taking the car even further with uprated turbos we knew they were the choice to take us to the next level and see just how far we can push the F90 M5.

Now you all know what our ethos is - A car has to be good to drive and reliable - So this is what we hope to achieve, by curing the weak points in the S63 engine, we can safely put much larger GTX 3076R based hybrid turbos on and crank the boost up.

Enjoy the time-lapse of the engine build!

wow, I like this one.

I assume the car lost 3 or so mph at the recent Vmax with the built engine? How does that make any sense to pay a ridiculous amount of money but underperform stock cars?

15 MPH tail wind last time and 31 MPH headwind this time. Do the math. There were many BMW's there and many M5's. We ranked number 1 for BMW at this weekend's VMAX event which makes it 3 in a row.

RK have done their job and given us a solid base. Its our job to make it fast now.

Didn't think 5.23 60-130 MPH on pump fuel in 24degrees C Ambient 0.26% uphill was slow (after 1 week of tuning development) but maybe you own a stock turbo car that can do that on pump fuel?

This is just the beginning of development for us now we feel comfortable pushing it beyond our Stage 2.

Yes it did. When you are developing a tune for a new setup and really pushing new boundaries it happens. This is why we develop products on our own cars and not customers cars and then test them at events like VMAX.

100% brother. Always funny to criticize the only one (?) building and tuning the F90. So easy to do better from the armchair. Call me if you want advice on valve timing.

There are others out there - just not on this forum.

This car was built and tuned to this level in less than 3 weeks. Very happy with where it is currently and tuning will be continually developed as has our Stage 1 and 2 tuning.

Good luck Imran I support your work. We will let the future settle things. My guess is that engine will never give you peace. Btw, didn't see anything from the recent Vmax was looking forward to the car setting records and beating its last one at 206

Congratulations and thanks to your videographer for wading through the hours and hours and hours of raw footage to put that together! The RK techs probably work cleaner than I do, but leaving those exhaust ports open during assembly is scary to me! Just asking for a bit of metal to disappear into one.
