Pops and Bangs for xmas - Full Akrapovic installed

After 3 months of intense research its finally here. Full Akrapovic installed and we did manual exhaust sound tuning, activation of burble & bangs (same as PRE July 2019) in Sport plus mode and neutral gear, OPF removing, all made manually by factory default functionality avoiding any kind of solution emulations.

Efficient mode

Is it possible to activate pops and burbles for late 2019 cars with coding?

Can you elaborate on the “manual exhaust sound tuning” part? Also how did you remove the OPF without getting a CEL?

Manual exhaust sound tuning was by changing input parameter of ECUs original firmware. We checked our map and compared it to original pre-July 2019 map. So bits 0 / 1 were changed exactly where they had to be changed. And nothing else like HP or torque. As well as CEL was not triggered because factory parameters inside firmware were switched off manually as well before the car was started.

Whoa.. ok...

I've a 2020 comp and need to sort the exhaust out without impacting the warranty if at all possible. Would be really interested to understand what changes you've made. Thanks!

I am guessing even though no CEL the warranty is still voided?

So you flashed your ECU, which is what we told you you’d need in the first place BMW can void your warranty because of that, even if you haven’t really changed any parameters outside of BMW standard.

Yes you did tell me and i never said you were wrong i only said that those morons at ACschnitzer said they guarantee it will work, but i never said you guys were wrong
And we didn't flash anything just changed the parameters. Also why would that void warranty, if it is just like it was on older cars? but anyway to tired of this car to think about that. Now it works exactly like it was on preJuly car and that is all i need to know. Cheers

Even changing a 0 to a 1 is still a flash - bit like jailbreaking your phone - once the software fuse is tripped that's your warranty gone.

From the video it does sound the tits.

Ok cheers Mightyhoof.. great work!

So you installed the full Akra exhaust including removing the OPFs?
And changed the parameters of the ECU to match the pre2019 cars? Who did this for you? Was it straight forward?

Thanks!

So if you change the brightness of the day time running lights, or turn on VIM, or code off ADS you've voided your warrantee?????
Um...not sure..

Any modification to vehicle MAY void warranty if caused damage and proven to be related to that. So saying all ECU Flash will void warranty is wrong...

So how Manhart offers:
https://www.manhart-performance.de/s...petition?c=226

and publicly states "....ECM is the solution since it will deal with any OPF/GPF errors accordingly. OPF-Delete is now a piece of cake and you don’t have to worry losing your factory warranty!"
