Lowering Springs / HAS Ranking

With my M5 LCI ordered I have been trying to decide on various mods. One of my first mods will be HAS/Springs to improve the aesthetics as well as handling. I tentatively decided on M Performance HAS and it is currently part of my build and to be installed by the dealer when my car arrives. However, I am reconsidering this decision and have been researching various options.

My previous 15' M4 had Dinan HAS, my M3 CS and M4 Comp both had KW HAS. The Dinan was by far the stiffest and harshest but also best handling, the KW's were still stiffer but closer to stock and less harsh than Dinan. The KW's made the most noise, they were loud over bumps and made various creaks and pops, almost unsettling at times. I want my M5 to be noticeably stiffer than stock with improved handling, but not as harsh as what I experienced with the Dinan, and I definitely don't want pops and creaks, that might be acceptable on an M3/4, but not on a M5. Ultimately, I think I am trying to determine how much comfort I am willing to sacrifice in order to gain additional performance.

From my experience, research, and personal opinion, I ranked the below from closest to stock feel to the most stiff.

1. H&R 550i Springs
2. M Performance HAS
3. KW HAS
4. Dinan HAS

My experience stems from M3/M4's only, these same brands may yield different results with the M5. What would your ranking be?

Also, I am curious to see if these applications would yield the same result on the LCI M5 as pre-LCI. The 21' M5 has updated dampers and other suspension changes from the pre-LCI's.

What HAS/Springs would you recommend?

loll, people seem to be forgtting this is a 4200lb sedan. Just lower it with H&R and leave it alone. the springs aren't going to make you handle corners infinitely better than one another. But who the hell is taking corners in this car anyway?

If you are not looking to slam it to the ground, add MSS to the equation.

I have sold a few yo F90 M5, F9x M8, and a lot to F97/F98 X3M/X4M with a great success.

Do you have any feedback on the M Performance HAS? I can't find any solid reviews on it.

Also, the M Performance adjustability range is Front 10-25mm and Rear 5-20mm. Is this measured from the standard M5, or the M5 Comp which is 7mm lower?

Unfortunately no.
Most of my customers goes with M550 spring first, KW HAS or MSS second.

Will the H&R make it slammed?

Depending on which H&R.

What do you mean? Any there only one H&R spring for the F90 M5? Which one gives a good drop for 21s that's not slammed? Don't want rubbing but want limited gap.

Most guys been using G30 M550 H&R spring for perfect drop.
H&R specific for F90 M5 is not that low.
I think it was 0.25" drop on the Comp.

Oh wow... 1/4 of an inch? I thought the site says the drop is 1.2?

Non Comp, you get about 1".
Comp, you get less since Comp already lower than Non Comp.

H&R website didn't post the detail correctly.

Yes it's very confusing. I don't have the comp.

This is non-Comp in H&R M5 specific spring.

Thank you! This helps. Not. Big drop, but he has 20s right? I think 21s would fill the gap better.

Wheel gap will be the same since 20" and 21" both still have the same tire overall diameter.

Whenever you are going bigger wheels, the tire becomes thinner.
Unless you want to go oversize, which is different subject since many other issues will come up.

Ah that's right, ok that makes sense, thank you! So I think the bigger drop makes sense and nobody has said they have rubbing.

So how is this set up:

G30 M550 H&R springs

HRE P101 in Gloss Black, with black wheel weights and choice on center cap.

Wheel specs:

Front: 21x10 ET?
Rear: 21x11 ET?

285/30/21 and 295/30/21 Michelin Pilot 4S

Good? My only question is why do 285 and 295 vs 275 and 295 or 285 and 305?
