Front Seat (back) protection
For those with kids who plan to destroy the back of the front seats .... have you found anything that works as a protector? My usual go to Weathertech does not make them for our cars. My guess is due to the unconventional shape/design of the front seats.
I have tried searching the google and this forum with not much luck. For reference I'm a 2020 Competition. Thanks in advance! |

I stared a thread about that with pics at the end:
https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2001820 I used these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...e?ie=UTF8&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...e?ie=UTF8&th=1 Seem good so far and they stay in place. There are some spots where my younger (driver side) kid's shoes rub on unprotected seat, but a good scrub seems to fix it. I didn't want an annoying strap across my back like nearly all protectors out there. |

Here's what I shared in the thread PMSteinm referenced above. Best option I've seen so far in terms of durable and *stylish* seat protection (for aragon brown leather interior).
"I have the aragon brown leather interior. Was looking for something that 1) looked as high end as the car itself 2) matched the aragon brown + black details 3) fully protected the rather sizeable rear seat bottom where toddler shoes tend to rest/scratch 4) didn't have big obvious straps that killed the look of the interior. Went with these - https://owleys.com/car-seat-protector-mat-hexy-one/ . Bought the "Car Seat Protector, Seat Back Protector Set". They look fantastic. The set has only been on for a few rides w/ the kid so I'm not sure how well they hold up. Only minor complaint is the strap that holds the front passenger seat's backside protector to the headrest has a metal latch that ends up resting underneath the headrest. I found I had to install it with the headrest up and if/when someone put it down, the metal latch settled up underneath the bottom of the headrest. Thus…if someone put the headrest down...it'd crush the metal latch into the leather and could damage it. So, I took off the latch and had my wife sew the strap to itself, essentially - no latch needed. So far so good." |
