I’m pretty sure they will. I was just saying if you don’t know that ahead of time and just go straight to the parts department they will give you the full MSRP price with no discount.

Also price depends on carbon tips or chrome

Does anyone know roughly how long it takes to get the full mppsk fit installed?

I think it took them a couple days because they had trouble with getting the flash to “take” but that was early after the release of the mppsk in the US. Maybe now the dealership has more experience but it may vary depending on the dealership and if they need to call corporate to help. They will give you a free loaner if you request one.

Do you have to pay for all those extra hours the car is in the shop while they try and figure it out?

My dealership quoted 5 hours work and I negotiated to $840. It took them majority of the day and I had to bring the car back the next day to fix some coding.

It should be a flat fee they quote you doesn't matter how long it actually takes, based on what it's expected to take in labor hours and they should be pretty close to if not a little less than the quote. I think it may be around $500 to install? Should give you a price estimate for both the parts and labor and you sign off on it, so no it should go up if they take longer that's not really on you.

I just got the carbon ones. You have to pick one or the other can’t get it without exhaust tips and they have the genuine M logo. Though some will say it’s not a real or full m but BMW puts the logo on m performance parts so to each their own. I guess unless you want to save some money then get chrome tips and get aftermarket carbon tips you can do that.

My install was about 7 hrs.. Flash kept failing out. I think my install was quoted at 3 1/2 hrs. labor.
You shouldn't get charged for extra time to do the flash... They just hit a button and walk away for an hour or so, it's not like they are actively working on the car for the extra time.

I'd be interested to see those as well, I got the stainless tips, couldn't justify the carbon tip cost at the time, and I kinda liked how the stainless tips popped from the carbon diffuser I have on..

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you have to modify the exhaust outlets where the tips attach if you get aftermarket tips? The OEM tips slide over a "nubbin" and aftermarket tips won't slip on without removing the "nubbin" or is that just the factory exhaust you have to do that?

That is only for the regular stock exhaust not the mppsk

Yes no nub, just a really badly designed allen screw. When my tips were being replaced, the left bolt seized and they had to destroy the old tip to get it out haha.

If you're not 100% set on MPPSK, I would really recommend looking into Remus + BM3.
