ABS question.....

After pumping gas today.....I reset my trip odometer miles to zero...
but I pushed and held the buttom for about 3 seconds
and the ABS light came on......

Does that mean I deactivated my ABS.....?

You entered into the OBC hidden menu, aka diagnostic mode.
If you hold it for more than ten secs, then you'll see more menus if you press the odometer reset button repeatedly. To unlock and properly enter it, do a search on "menu unlock".

To reset trip odometer, do not hold on to the button. Just press and release.

lol, u entered the diagnostic mode.

i wonder if that trick stillworks with the e90 where the instrument panel lights up and moves allthe needles. it worked on my e36

Yea, there is a thread here about this menu unlock - i tried it once...it was cool. Remeber to "unlock" the menu by going to option 19 and using the special code. :-)

Ps. I don't think you turned ABS off.

You don't have to unlock for the dash test btw. You only need to unlock for the other menus.
