Silverstone v Moonstone
Hey CanAutM3 I noticed your sig pic looks really moonstone-y, but didn't want to post in that thread so I thought I'd post over here. It's strange how sometime silverstone and moonstone look alike and other where they're totally different:
I took this pic at the Welt with a full-frame DSLR: |

They're both cool colors, but the difference between them is that SS has more of a blue hue to it, while Moonstone is just silver.
Thanks for sharing the pics, and please post more!

It seems to me that both Moonstone and Silverstone are very reflective colours and the environment has a big impact on how they come out. Moonstone seems to have more beige/gold undertones while Silverstone has more blue/sliver undertones. This particular picture of my car was taken in early morning sun with a 60D, so the pinking/orange colour of the sun turned it more towards the beige/gold of Moonstone. Fun to have such dynamic colours

I think Moonstone reminds me of the color of actual pearls, and not so much silver.
