Does your dealer since you an online inspection video of your car when it’s in for scheduled maintenance or service?

Always — RIS, oil changes, regularly scheduled maintenance, seasonal tire changeover, even when they used a third party to refinish some curb rash on my previous M5.

I love it personally. Sometimes you want to hear things straight from the tech/foreman’s mouth, but nothing about the service merited going and speaking with them personally. SA of course relays everything and goes over it as well.

I get this email while I’m still in the waiting area if I’m hanging out at the dealership. Dealer also includes the invoice at the end and a payment link after clicking through the email to the video. Love the simplicity.

i agree it is nice is what i got from the tech, as usual, it seems the SA don't know much about BMWs at all, I was surprised when they forgot to reset my oil change reminder and he told me to ask the Genius instead...I was like WTF

ETA: I got it to reset finally, initially I had problems because my hood and/or door was open, it all needs to be closed and then 3x start/stop and then hold down BC button for 15 secs, for each selection/choice confirmation hold down another 15 secs.

last time they sent me a video it was them pointing out all the mods i have done lol

Funny timing, as my car was in yesterday, and the dealer sent a video. The car is about 3 months old, so obviously everything was fine, but it was a nice touch nevertheless.

I’m now trying to work out how to clean it underneath, as it was an absolute mess!

I guess it’s nice. My techs usually move the camera too quickly for me to see what they are showing me. Like brake pads.

Mine did the same, about 1 sec per side but he did talk about the specs and measurements.

It's sad the SA you would hope or think they're somewhat a BMW enthusiast, but not at my new dealer, just a breathing worker bee and they sell everything from Ferraris, Lambos, RR, and McLaren to VW all on the same campus.

One dealership here does a video, the other does not. But for an oil change, I could care less

My dealer does inspection videos. I found them helpful especially when the car is on the lift and the technician inspects the underbody, suspension, and brakes.
