Good point. I would think manufactures like Apex will come up with something, but selection is limited on standard brakes.

I do think BMW tends to make the newer suspensions more compliant. I test drove an 18’ M3comp, it was far more compliant than my 15’ M3 passive suspension.

I'm 99.99% sure the front calipers from steel brakes on F10 M5. I would say no.

Garage List
Even if they left the spring and damper rates the same as M2 the overall effect would be softer M2C. So when they say more compliant it will still be relative to weight. Could be slightly firmer spring/damper yet ride better due to rose joints (less resistance) and weight.

The wheel barrel seems to barely clear the callipers on the 19" wheel. Can't see there being an 18" option that'll fit the M2C with M Sports.

I'm not really sure how anyone can debate on whether it will be firmer or softer! They've tuned the suspension and I'd imagine given the flack they got in the UK from the journos that it now rides better. MR indicates it will ride better and 'softer'. What one person considers too stiff is perfectly fine for another too so its all personal preference at the end of the day. I've come from a modified E39 M5 (lower and stiffer) and it feels very firm to me, particularly noticeable on our current broken roads. I'm fine with that but I do think some people would find it too much.

Could be one reason why there are soo many used cars for sale with very low miles - I can't fathom it personally! I think the UK market was oversupplied, when I bought mine three weeks ago there was huge choice especially if you wanted DCT. Unfortunately for me in the last 2 weeks prices have dropped significantly!

They should of included M EDC Suspension on this vehicle but I guess they didn't feel it was cost effective to go back to the drawing board and R&D a separate set of M2C active dampers..

Sucks but I guess they also have to save some exclusive amenities for the F80.

I'm going with the Poser Package I guess. Crappy standard brakes and 18s of some sort. Seems wrong to buy a "comp" without the big brakes though.

Does M2C use the same springs as the M2?

It will not, the disc alone is 16 inches the callipers will add more.

If you have 2NH option - M sport brakes, you can use 19" only.

About suitability for UK roads - if it is ok for our Slovak tank training roads, it is ok for every country in Europe

Does anyone in the world make an adaptive suspension for M2s? It really bugs me that they ride so poorly. I love the car's handling and power, but I live in a city with cobblestone roads and really need softer suspension in town.

Adaptive suspension is a lie, if you properly setup suspension geometry you don't need adaptive from what I have read this was intentional with the M2.
Adaptive suspension is a compromise in mathematics.
However I like it on my current car

Get Litchfield AST suspension package?

Peugeot? They're cobblestones. It's a sporty car!

Just looked at realoem and the M2, M2 LCI and M2 Comp have the same sway bars, springs and dampers front and rear. . .

So this is M for marketing. Suspension components are the same on all three versions of the M2.

But, you know, they clearly 'improved' it for the Competition. All those glowing reviews can't be wrong - unless they just quoted the Press Packs...

It really depends on your driving style and use, I am a casual driver, occasionally take it down my local B road for a blast. I think the suspension is spot on, if pushed, I say it can be a bit more firm.

I had a cayman R before this, I really enjoy the passive suspension on Botha cars.
