M4 CSL

Who's adding an M4 CSL to their collection? Car looks incredible!

1000 units—each priced at $140,895

You know the dealer's markup is coming...

To answer your question, not me cause I already got the M5CS.

It's really nice, but at 140k, I was honestly was expecting more out of the CSL with the hype and how good the standard G8x chassis already is. People will talk about the 7:20 time, but wouldn't the M5cs come close to that with Cup 2Rs and a factory attempt?

I really don't understand why BMW never posted a factory time. We'll never know. Puzzling and disappointing.

Hah I agree but also is it ever too late to do so?

Probably. Marketing has likely moved on from the M5 CS.

What am I missing - fasted M of all time, 0-60 in 3.6? Base F90 is quicker. Do they mean top speed?

They meant in the ring. Not straight line. The M5 CS and likely all the other M5 variants would beat the M4 CSL from a dig or roll.

I noticed something - the M4 CSL hit 300kph in the straight at the end but the sport auto drive with the M5 CS only reached 297kph. It's one data point but leads me to wonder if there was something left in the tank. The AMG GT 4d also hit 300 I believe …

And still. THAT hideous grille… I am not entirely sure what are they thinking. BMW's head designer has to take half the dose of whatever he is taking or double it. I get it. I know. The beauty is in the eye of a beholder but Jesus make that front end to at least look half decent.
End of rant.
Sorry I had to

None of these new BMW cars look good to me. New 7, ugly. New M4 CSL, less ugly but nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as my 2022 M5.

Wonder what the cost will be once the dealers rape and pillage all the pour saps that want one. $160-180k…? Yikes. Not for a bmw. Wouldn't pay that for the CS.

A lot of people were able to purchase the M5 CS for MSRP. It will probably be the same here. Some will charge more than MSRP, some will not.

Haha yup! I'm glad you laughed at them. They need to know. Someone without self control and money to burn will buy it I'm sure. Car just ain't worth it. For $200k I'll take a gt4 with an actual color, transmission and wheels.

One thing that jumped out at me about the car was that its ZF transmission is the first to switch quicker than a DCT. That's mighty impressive.
