Is the split-headlight design cue coming to M?
*RANT*
WTF is wrong with BMW these days? They belly-flopped on the G80 M3 with that stupid-ass front grille. Now they are applying these new illogical and utterly absurd split headlight design to their new LCI refreshes. Is this going to be the standard headlight design going forward? If so, BMW has lost my business. Something is way off here.

Last I checked, BMW is a publicly traded company and the shareholders expect a return.
China likes the grill. China also likes the split headlights. For the last 30 years, we have done an excellent job of sending billions of US Dollars to China in exchange for cheaply made goods (often made without the watchful eye of the US EPA, Department of Labor, OSHA, etc). Guess what? Now China has lots of disposable income to buy BMWs and other luxury goods (enough so that they are influencing BMWs design language). Moral of the story? Stop buying Chinese goods. (I know this is not entirely possible - but you get the point).

You are exactly right. Politics' infiltration of every nook and cranny of our society is finally rearing its ugly head enough to be recognizable. Everyone has sold their soul - even BMW.

The United States has become over run with keep-up-with-the-Jones' (but not in my back yard). We as consumers have demanded a never ending stream of incredibly cheap consumer goods in order to make ourselves feel successful. And China has been all too happy to oblige, all while transferring an immense amount of US wealth to Mainland China. If 80 inch flat screen TVs were made here in the US they probably would cost $10,000 (maybe more, maybe less - but play along). And guess what? Not everyone would have one. But instead, we're ok with them being sold for $999 because they're made in some obscure, polluting factory with Chinese child labor. This isn't politics. This is basic consumerism and economics. Get used to split headlights - and whatever else China wants, because the United States has put them in the drivers seat.

No, there hasn't been…..OP is just ranting based off nothing. They made it very clear they were doing the split headlights for the 7 series only.
