How to view production status
Hi,
Just got the word from my dealership. My car will be produced in June (kinda sux since they said that they might be able to have it in may). This means that I won't recieve the until August 1st. I have the production number. Is there a way to view the status of the car? |

Try:
https://oc.bmwusa.com/oemainlogin.asp Set up your account and your in. This is a great way to keep updated but it is painfully slow. What I mean is that I have been diligently checking my account since my order was entered almost two weeks ago and the status is still at "On Order." There is a 1-800 number to check as well that is listed elsewhere in the forum. I'll see if I can find it for you. |

The info on Owner's Circle site is always a few days behind the real status of your car. I always call 1-800-831-1117 for automated phone system for the most up-to-date status of my car, but I saw the fact that you are from Canada, I dont know what's the number for Canada. Its a lot more accurate than the bmw website. Would US and Canada share the same data base? If so, you can call that number too..... haha......... or ask someone in US to call for you, took only 1 min to do so.

I'm pretty sure that Owner's Circle USA will not work for canada, you will need to look at what www.bmw.ca has to offer. As always, your dealer has the most information.
I went to my dealer yesterday and they have an order tracking tool that tells you your production number, manufacturing date, the name of the ship its on, and when the ship will arrive in Canada. Its a pretty sweet tool and gives the dealer a lot of information about your baby. Of course, we have no access to that system. What i've found in the US, is that the 800 Automated System is very accurate, and off only by 24-48 hours, and Owner's Circle is about 3 days behind the 800 number. |

My 330i just entered the system today, so the production number does not even show the correct color yet. That's OK, I'll be patient!
But when it does get updated (maybe in a few days), can I expect to see estimates of timing of future events, like, well, delivery? Or should I expect to get that from the 800 number or the dealer? Thanks John PS The color is now correct, but it still does not list "factory ordered options". Is this to be expected? Last edited by johnfkitchen; 05-19-2005 at 08:02 AM..
