FSHNGRY - I may have missed it, but where did you get that wheel? I’m looking for a flat bottom, but with perforated leather sides and carbon fiber.

Very pleased with the results. Coupled with my alcantara retrim, it really elevates the wheel I think.

How was the disassembly of the trim it self ? You really encouraged my to do the same things
Thanks

It's not hard. 5 T20. 2 release the paddles from the inside which then expose 2 more behind the paddles. 2 upper clips. 1 final T20 behind the steering wheel on the lower spire.

Thanks but the trim itself did you take apart the aluminum part from the leather one to get the aluminium painted?

Definitely going to get this done, I love Royals, just round the corner from me, always do a great job.

I agree about the carbon, I bought the autotechnik carbon/alcantara trim and held it up and realised it didn't really work with the look I was going for.

(Going up for sale cheap if anyone is interested in the UK)

It's not aluminium. It's just chrome painted plastic. It's joined to the to other parts of the trim by plastic heat welds. I just broke the welds with a stanley knife and used a dab of hot glue on each when reassembling.

You used hot glue to reassemble the trim to the steering wheel? How's that gonna hold up when the cabin temp is over 120 degrees? Surprised that would stay on.
