Awesome to hear everything works like factory. Going to have to do this now. Happen to have the BMW part number for the screen by chance?

I'm a little bemused why owners aren't satisfied with the OEM screen. Mine is more than large enough.

But this thread made me aware of the OEM vent fresheners, so ordered two lol!

I think GTATX has an '18 so I assume it works for all models.

Which programming tools are needed? Do you need BMW E-sys and ENET cable?

What’s the cost for programming codes from Filip and Kuba? Are they on the forum?

I really would like to get this and the LCI tail lights done. Great info and thanks for sharing all the details.

that's an awesome upgrade man congrats! i'm just wondering if it also upgrades the idrive to the newer one like the lci or not. or if it is even possible to upgrade it in general.

It is possible in a sense that u will have to spend 5-6k to get it done n probably not worth it.

Coding cost shouldn't be more than $200 total. Need just need Ethernet cable and that's it. Screen should be $500ish or so.

i want to hear how you got full autopilot to be coded! I hate it on my '20. the system barely every recognizes my hands on the steering wheel and always turns off. I dont even use it anymore.

reached out. he says he doesn't think it'll work with the live cockpit but he also was confused as to what idrive i have. So he's looking into it. He was under the impression the M5 has the same set up as the M8 with the camera system and iD7.

Just got mine installed on my 2019 M5C. Sourced the screen from Ebay for about $550, install took about 10 minutes and got it programmed remotely by Kubax86.

He was able to activate the screen and get CarPlay to work. Only downside is a slight flicker on the top of the screen which is hardly noticeable. Only appears when you're in full screen.

I highly recommend Kubax - he was very responsive on Whatsapp and did the install in a few minutes.

Got Filip to take a look today. Great news. It works for '20 models! It's amazing to finally not have the system turn off when i don't strangle the steering wheel! Just bliss auto pilot!

Is the flickering that you spoke about only on the map screen or is always there? Do you have a video?

I play a lot of movies and videos so the flickering would be an issue if it's always there.
