Again, think about what is realistic and believable. Do you really think one of the most conservative tuners around has an off the shelf tune that makes more power than custom tunes from well respected tuners who have the car on the dyno or have logged the car so they know how much of the safety margin they can use on that particular car?
I’d look at Carbahn if you want what looks like a really well developed off the shelf tune at a premium price. |

If you are just looking for numbers claimed also look at the Noelle tune. If I chose among Dinan, Noelle and Carbahn, it would be Carbahn hands down.

I think Carbahn is best overall. But custom utku noa or HCP are fastest and cheaper and great reputation. The work on BM3 platform.

Dealer will see this tune if they scan the ECU, correct?
I know the question has been beat to death, but I'm trying to confirming it for this new release. Last edited by bMm5w; 01-04-2022 at 07:21 PM.. |

Stock: Stage 1: Yes. Any tune (flash or piggyback) can be detected given enough digging. |

No problem. Apologize for the delayed responses. Was out for the holidays and then have been dealing with all the neverending questions with the ignition coil releases the past 2 days so this is the first time I've had a moment to get back into this thread.

My lease is up later this year, otherwise I'd be down. If I get into a 2020 for the next car, I'm all over it.
How's the 2020+ development going?

Will this get pops and burbles back in the exhaust or no?
Also....won't this work on 21 and 22 X5M models if it works on the 20? I know the F90 had the LCI so it makes sense why it won't work on LCI models....but I don't think anything changed from 2020 to 21-22 on the X5M models.

Spoke with some managers from 3 separate dealers and only one said they will respect the Dinan tune and will not void the warranty. The other two basically said "nah." However at the end of the day everybody can look for reasons not to cover anything so I'd prob go with the extra $ for the Dinan warranty.
