Adapting Brembo Big Brake Kit from Cayanne

Hi,

Has anyone ever adapted a BBK designed for another car onto the f30?

I've seen on other forums, mainly vw, that it's pretty common.

Looking at this forum, it doesn't seem like anyone has discussed this before.

Just wondering if it's safe or if there are any issues.

A shop here in Asia says it's perfectly safe and they have kits ready with the correct mounting brackets for the f30.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is it much cheaper than a kit designed for the F30? I'm pretty sure Brembo would make them because they supply the OEM ones...

Are those M5 Brakes?

As far as being cheaper, i've found the pricing to be very very competitive compared to the BBK for F30

Sounds interesting.

I found out a little more from the shop, the brakes are the OEM brakes for a Cayenne Turbo (6 Pot front, 4 rear) with modified brackets for the F30.

Does your friend have any issues with his brakes?

Thanks!!

No...won't work. Porches use 5x130 PCD.

I believe only the calipers are from the Porsche. Rotors would be for a BMW.

A lot of people in Hong Kong do this, I haven't heard of any problems. Just make sure the brackets are good.

Hi Wai,

Thanks for the reply.

Can you give any shop recommendations in HK that I can check out the brackets at to compare?

I'll in HK next week.
