With lemoned/buyback cars you need to be committed to that car for a long time. Yes, they're a big bargain, BUT do plan on keeping the car until it dies. Most dealers won't take them as trade in as lemon/buyback is treated like "salvaged" in a car auction. Also, if you try to sell it privately, plan on taking a massive hit as again, as most prudent car buyers will look at your car as a salvage.
