Christmas came early

Got a letter promising a new LCI M5 for $8,365 due at signing on a Base model, same payment I have now and the remaining 18 months on my Donington goes away. Meh. But, it got me thinking, because there were some things that actually bugged me about my car. Wouldn't hurt to just look, right?

Dealer only had 2 M5s, both Comps: Marina Bay and Brands Hatch with identical spec. I didn't like the Comp ride last year, but LCI refined some things. So, went and test drove the Hatch. Me likey. 3 hours later I came back and put down $2000 on a Comp and drove away with virtually the same payment. And did I say it's now a Comp? What a freakin' beast.

So, so about the Hatch. Great color. Not Donington.

I think SG is a little darker. I was lusting after SG after seeing your early posts. SG has a little more black. Brands might have a tiny touch of brown. Both great colors.

I bought out the lease and sold it at a small loss. The loss was all calculated back in to the whole Adjusted Capitalized Cost, which included BMW Loyalty, dealer discount and then some more rebate money to keep my payment similar. Drive off was basically 1st payment and title fees.

I got a new car, wiped out 22,000 miles and got into a Comp. Which, by the way, rides phenomenally - better, I think than my pre LCI Base.
