Lightest 19 inch wheels

Does anyone know of any 19's that will fit our brakes and are sub 18 lbs per wheel?

There isn't anything that's going to be that light that isn't carbon fiber. All of the chinese forged wheels eg signature vossen bc etc etc etc are going to be heavier than that. Only 3 brands come to mind that are actually forged, the high end HREs (read, not the chinese forgings), BBS and Rays engineering.

Sorry man. I don't think you want to pay 20-30k a set of wheels.

I have seen anyone one yet on this forum run aftermarket 19's
LiteSpeed forged magnesium wheels are the weight you are looking for.

Ah I was specifically referring to a full carbon fiber wheel as opposed to a carbon fiber barrel with a titanium/magnesium/aluminum center. You can source carbon barrels like HRE and Forgeline use from alibaba pretty easily;
https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...2521970936.htm

I don't know if Forgeline or HRE would provide a certificate of manufacturing for their barrels or tell you who they're whitelabeling for, but I highly highly doubt they're doing a Koenigsegg or Revo and making their own carbon barrels. Simply too expensive for small volume manufacturers. Think of the size of the autoclave you'd need for a 19x12 wheel, how long that would take. How about for a set of 4?

That's why there's only a very small handful of real manufacturers that make full carbon wheels, and they're expensive. I really wish more vendors would get on with making carbon wheels. Drove a GT500 and oh boy. Big difference with the carbons vs some "forged" regular wheel.

The ALibaba link does not work.

Search terms were "carbon fiber wheel barrel". I'd be hesitant to order these unless you can afford to get wrecked on chancy quality or have someone local to inspect their factory. The difference between ordering Forgelines and getting them direct is that Forgeline already did the due diligence to secure the supplier. It's the same story with all of the huge list of wheel manufacturers - they're all ordering them from china, you're just paying them to be the middle man to ensure that you get the product you paid for.

Got it. Yea it's pretty sketchy as you dont really know their quality standards. It would be nice to have 80lbs less of unsprung weight.

huh? Factory wheels weigh what 25-28lbs? The wheels on the GT500 weigh 17lbs. You're talking 40lbs best case.
