Mine's on the ship too but with the stop sale still in effect. At least it will be on its way for 4 weeks while they (hopefully) source the modules....

No. Stop sale are for cars waiting for parts that can't be delivered until they are available and installed at the port or factory.

They're all probably at port for 'quality check' because they may actually be missing a chip or two for the computers.

The chip shortage is finally catching up with BMW, and they're probably using their 'quality check' status as a way to try and get the chips while it waits.

Doesn't work. "network error" after putting in VIN.

Finally the car moved from "quality check" to straight "awaiting carrier assignment".

I never saw a hang up at quality check - mine seemed to move over night from entering the assembly line to awaiting carrier.

I did move through that phase in about a day as well and mine's sitting at the port waiting for a boat.

My CA advised 2-3 weeks at Bremerhaven. At this rate I'll be lucky to see the car by Christmas.

I am experiencing the same thing- I have been in the 'production begins' phase for 8 days. BMW genius said it will likely move from that spot on the tracker to 'awaiting carrier'. According to them, Germany has not been updating those trackers consistently. Once your car hits the port, I was told it will be at the dealership in another 4 weeks or so.

Not that I know anymore than anyone on these forums, but I'd be surprised if you didn't get your car much sooner than Christmas.

Hopefully we'll get the car by end of next month 🤞🏼

I've got MPE as a port installed option so he mentioned that even when it hits the US Port it would sit there for another 2-3 weeks waiting for the MPE to be installed.

Mine sat there for 6 days and just this morning moved to in-transit (though the carrier still does not have the VIN). If your car is going to the east coast, look up the W&W schedules and you can probably figure out which ship / timing. They've got one leaving 10/18, 10/20, then 10/26 and 10/28. Seems you're about a week behind me, so my guess is you'd be on the 10/26 or 10/28 sailing.

Then transit time, then US port time, etc.

My CS still in quality check, nearly 2 months now. Broke down and asked my sales guy yesterday. Response: "I see the same thing you see."

My 530e was there for almost 4 month (June 18 - Oct 12). That was the responds I was getting to. It is very frustrating, you would think someone would know way it is in QC. The BMW customer support also had no idea. They advance my case two level in customer support. The first level told me I would get a call back in 5-7 day after three week with out a call back it got advance again with a 5-7 day call back promise again, of course no call back for 9 days and got no answer, but told not to call again, as they will not be able to find out why. My is now on a ship head to the US but it still has a stop sale.

Have you seen this post https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1865007

I wish that link was available when the car was in QC, it seems to see more the the CS and the BMW customer support.

Hope you car get out of QC soon.

Is there a stop order on all the M5s? My car is currently at the port waiting on a boat.
