Go for it; it's a reasonably priced piggyback with a good power increase.

How is the power delivery on those? My experience is that piggybacks are not as smooth and it almost feel like it is all or nothing when accelerating, and hard accelerate smoothly.

I have driven 10,000 miles with a JB4, mostly on Map 2 for 93 and it has been perfectly smooth.

Does anyone have a suggestion on where to mount the Dinantronics unit under the hood? There is literally no room under there...

Under the cowl in the wiper motor area, basically in front of the driver’s dash.

I like that idea but the cable isn’t long enough to reach. Were you able to get it under there?

I have my racechip on the passenger side behind the air box close to the wheel well. The cords aren’t long enough to go anywhere else.

Do you happen to have a photo? I do not see enough room where you described.

JB4, yes. Have not tried Dinan. The way the cable routes, will it reach the larger cavity on the other side? I have my meth tank and pump in there. If not, zip tie it somewhere. I like the cavities in the corners of the engine bay since they are covered but not much gets under the hood.

Fair enough, my air box is removed for my intakes so I have lots of space. Before I installed the intakes I think I had it strapped to the air box brace or something.

Do you have any suggestions where to mount the unit, or do you offer some kind of extension cable so I can route to a more ideal mounting point? I have it in front of the driver’s side air box but the location is not ideal and there is no way of securing it well. I have your intake btw.

No extension harnesses unfortunately. We had ours mounted in a variety of locations depending on modifications at the time. With the stock intake we mounted it to front section of the drivers side intake brace (or passenger depending on how you route it) or before that front and center on slam plate. With the Dinan intake those locations are beyond cramped, or non-existent, however. The best locations at that point are in front of the intake boxes like it sounds like you have it currently or on the back/side of the passenger air box there are a few holes that can be used for zip tie mounting. Not ideal but its a cramped engine bay with that being one of the few areas not overly cluttered so you ultimately just work with what you got. I have seen some folks actually mount it to the wiring harness in that area as well.

This is used when you ECU is locked(after certain production date). Dinan told me that they prefer the ECU tuning as it has more data to manipulate
