This sounds like sour grapes etc, but its not, just discussion, but there is surely something amiss with that Competition ?, nearly 13 secs for the 1/4 mile ?, WOW !!.

Nice race between BMWs finally. Showcases the difference between the CS and the M8C pretty well. I think something was off with that M5C. It shouldn't have done that bad in comparison. Also, pretty good 1/4 mile time for the CS given the runway still wasn't fully dry too.

As for that wing on the M8… no comment. 😆

The M5C was way too slow. Looked like the driver wasn’t able to engage the LC or something like that.

He already did 10.9 on the street with another M5C (13.30 mark). Obviously something wrong with the one in that video at 12.7s, that’s just absurdly slow.

I've seen that wing before. On a red primer 1990 Honda CRX with a tow hook.

Yes, but it fits the narrative though doesn't it.

They should do this video over again...on a completely dry track and add an M550i into the mix. Then get an M8C without a wing on it. ;D

They're in the UK. Likelihood of a dry track is slim to none.

The wing is likely only slowing the car down. Apart from many add-on wings being set at the wrong angle, an AWD car needs no downforce on a straight run like this anyway…

I am a bit biased of course but the M8 (minus the wing) looks the best from the rear. Lower and wider
